A spinner online, built for showing to a room
Most of the time a wheel spinner is not used alone. It is on a classroom projector, shared in a video meeting or shown on a stream. This spinner online is designed for that: a large wheel with clear labels, a big pointer and a result banner that can be read from the back of the room.
Customize the spinner wheel
Color themes
Open Settings and choose from six themes. Vibrant is bold and high-contrast for projectors. Pastel is softer for younger children. Ocean, Sunset and Forest suit seasonal events, and Monochrome keeps things calm for work meetings. Label colors switch automatically between dark and light text for contrast.
Spin length
Three seconds keeps a lesson moving. Five seconds is a good default. Eight seconds builds suspense for a final draw.
Sound and confetti
Sound is off until you switch it on, so the page never surprises anyone in a quiet office. When it is on you hear a soft tick as each slice passes the pointer and a short chime at the end. Confetti bursts from the wheel when it stops, and can be turned off.
Presenting the spin wheel on a projector or call
- Use your browser’s zoom (Ctrl or Cmd and +) to make the wheel fill a large screen.
- In a video call, share just this browser tab so participants see the wheel without your other windows.
- Prepare your list before the session. It is saved in your browser and will be ready when you open the page.
- Turn on sound if your call shares tab audio; otherwise leave it off.
Keyboard and accessibility
Every control can be reached with the keyboard. Tab to the center of the wheel and press Enter or Space to spin, and use the arrow keys to move between the Entries, Settings and History tabs. The result is announced to screen readers when the wheel stops, and the result pop-up can be closed with Escape.
If your device is set to reduce motion, spins are shortened to about a second and confetti is not shown.
Works on phones and tablets
On a phone, the wheel fills the width of the screen and the controls sit below it. Tap the center or the big Spin button. Lists, settings and history are saved on each device separately, because they are stored in that device’s browser.
Pick the right wheel for the job
Every page uses the same spinner but starts with a different list. Use the name spinner for people, the number picker wheel for numbers, or the random wheel generator to read more about how results are picked.
