Privacy policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains what happens to information when you use OnlineWheelSpin.com. The short version: the wheel runs in your browser, the lists you type are stored on your device and not on our server, and we use Google Analytics to measure visits.
Information stored in your browser
To remember your wheels between visits, the site saves the following in your browser's local storage:
- the entries on each wheel page;
- your settings, such as color theme, spin duration, sound, confetti and remove-winner mode;
- your spin history for each wheel page (up to the most recent 100 results).
This data is created and read by the page's code on your device. It is not transmitted to OnlineWheelSpin.com as part of using the wheel. Because it lives in one browser on one device, it does not sync between devices, and it is removed if you clear your browser's site data or use a private window that discards storage when closed.
Avoid entering sensitive personal information, such as full names with contact details, in a wheel on a shared or public computer.
Deleting your data
You can clear one wheel with “Reset this wheel” in its Settings tab and clear history from the History tab. To delete everything this site has saved in this browser:
Randomness and audio
Results are generated in your browser using its built-in cryptographic random number generator. Optional sound effects are synthesized in your browser with the Web Audio API; no audio is recorded and the site does not use your microphone.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may record technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the service running. These logs do not contain your wheel entries, because the entries are not sent to the server.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how the site is used: for example which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and roughly which country and type of device they use. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view. This information is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. Google Analytics does not receive the entries you type into a wheel; those stay in your browser's local storage as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally without analytics cookies.
The site does not show advertising. Fonts and icons are served from this site, not from third-party font services. If advertising or other services are added, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Children
The wheel is used in classrooms and does not ask for any personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Questions can be sent via the contact page.
